Corn Bread

I frequently add some red pepper in this one to add a bit of kick
1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tb baking powder
1 ts salt
1 c. milk
1/3 c. oil
1 egg

Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Combine milk, oil and egg in small bowl; mix well. Add milk mixture to flour mixture; stir just until blended. Pour into greased 8 inch square pan.

Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.
