Soft Pretzels

2 packets dry yeast
1-1/2 c. warm water
2 Tbl sugar
1 tsp salt
4 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
salt for top

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix yeast and water in bowl. add sugar and 1 tsp salt. add flour and mix. Knead on floured surface. Cut off pieces and form into shapes. Brush with beaten egg ad then sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes
