Preheat oven to about 100 for rising and turn off
Thoroughly mix 1-1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Combine milk, water and shortening in pan and heat until margarine barely melts. Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Add remaining flour and beat to make soft dough. Knead 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl, cover and rise in warmed oven about 15-30 minutes. Shape dough and place on greased baking sheet or muffin tins. Cover and let rise again for about 15-30 minutes.
Bake 450 degree oven about 12 minutes.
